Bradley A. Warady


Bradley A. Warady is Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, Interim Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics, Chief of Nephrology and Director of Dialysis and Transplantation at the Children's Mercy Hospital. Dr. Warady's clinical and research focus is end-stage renal disease. He established the Pediatric Peritoneal Dialysis Study Consortium and is a member of the board of directors of the North American Pediatric Renal Trials and Collaborative Studies (NAPRTCS). He currently serves as co-principal investigator of the International Pediatric Peritoneal Dialysis Network and the Chronic Kidney Disease in Children (CKiD) study, funded by the NIH.

He co-edited the books "CAPD/CCPD in Children" and "Pediatric Dialysis" and has published more than 300 articles and book chapters. He is chairman of the Pediatric Liaison Committee of the International Society of Peritoneal Dialysis. He also has been a member of the K/DOQI PD Adequacy, Pediatric Nutrition and Pediatric Bone workgroups for the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) and recently co-chaired the NKF workgroup which published guidelines for the Nutritional Management of Children with CKD. Dr. Warady also serves as Associate Editor for Peritoneal Dialysis International and is on the editorial board of Pediatric Nephrology.
