Richard Brasington

Richard D. Brasington, Jr. is Professor of Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, and is Clinical Director and Fellowship Program Director for the Division of Rheumatology. He has developed an active clinical trials program focusing on investigative agents for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and lupus. From 2002-04 he served as Director of the Center for Clinical Studies at Washington University, facilitating clinical trials throughout the university community.

Dr. Brasington has been active in rheumatology post-graduate education and currently serves on the Training and Workforce Committee of the American College of Rheumatology. In this capacity, Dr. Brasington has been instrumental in developing the Rheumatology Objective Structural Clinical Examination (ROSCE) in rheumatology trainee evaluations.
