NAAC Releases New Slide Set for Iron Deficiency Anemia

MILWAUKEE, WI – The National Anemia Action Council (NAAC) announced today the addition of a new educational presentation about iron deficiency anemia available on their website, www.anemia.org.

Created by NAAC’s anemia experts, the Iron Deficiency Anemia slide set is the latest in a series of free, downloadable presentations designed to educate healthcare professionals about anemia management practices. Also available from NAAC is a corresponding patient information handout on iron deficiency anemia.

IDA Slide Set CoverOther slide sets and patient information handouts cover anemia associated with cancer, chronic kidney disease, hepatitis C, HIV/AIDS, inflammatory bowel disease, nutritional deficiencies, rheumatoid arthritis, surgical patients, critically ill patients and the elderly. Individual slides or entire presentations may be used for informational and educational purposes to:

  • Introduce anemia management practices to students and residents
  • Supplement material for academic lectures and presentations
  • Outline anemia prevalence and treatment options in continuing medical education
